Maurice Galbraith Cullen (1866-1934) was a Canadian artist. Cullen was born June 6, 1866 in St. John's, Newfoundland. Beginning in January 1918, Cullen served with Canadian forces in the First World War. He came to the attention of Lord Beaverbrook, who arranged for him to be commissioned as an "official war artist" along with Frederick Varley, J.W. Beatty and C. W. ORRENTE, Pedro
Spanish Baroque Era Painter, 1580-1645 Spanish painter. He is one of the most interesting artists of his day. His father, Jaime Orrente, was a merchant from Marseille, his mother, Isabel Jumilla, from Murcia. By 1600 Orrente was active in Toledo, where he was commissioned to paint a retable (untraced). In 1607 and again in 1611 he was in Murcia, and a journey to Italy recorded by Jusepe Mart?nez and Palomino must have taken place between those years. (1585-1650) was a Flemish Baroque painter. According to Houbraken his work survived in Brussels, where he lived and died. He was sorry he could not find more data on this artist. According to the RKD he was registered in the Brussels Guild of Saint Luke as a master in 1613 and used the monograms ASall f and AS entwined.
